Maya The Bee 2 - Styleframes
In 2016 I had the pleasure to work on the animated feature film 'Maya the Bee - the Honey Games' with Flying Bark Productions for Studio 100 Media. I mainly worked on detailed styleframes, to explore and nail down the look, mood and specific lighting situations for different locations in the movie. This gallery shows a selection of them.

Dewdrop Challenge - Ground Level
One of the main events in the movie takes place under a large willow tree. This shot shows the starting position for a race up the branches.
Dewdrop Challenge - Branches
The contestants have to reach the top of the branches, while large dew drops are constantly raining down on them.
Meeting Area
This is one of the main meeting points for the competition.
Dragonfly Rush
Another event in the movie is a dragonfly race along and through a shallow stream.

The end of the dragonfly race, the weather starts to change.
Mount Stumpy - Secret Shortcut
A storm is brewing as the last remaining teams hurry up a mountanous tree trunk towards their final challenge.
Orchid
The pollen of this orchid are the trophy they must bring back to win the honey games.

Of course there is a spider.
